Well, that’s me. I’m fickle. I can’t make up my mind about anything. Whatever is in front of me, I’m totally passionate about. My kitties. Whatever bird or animal I’m watching. My music taste changes with the seasons and the weather (country is for summer, classical for winter, tenors ALWAYS, Gordon Lightfoot for a rainy day).

Sally’s favorite things include tennis balls and pine cones. She loves to chew on those sharp pine cones, a good one can keep her busy for an hour.
I tend to cycle through 5 or 6 things on a regular basis. I love photography, writing, math (yes, MATH!) travel, kayaking, bird watching, concerts and musical theater, and Barnes & Noble (or Borders) is always a sure thing. Oh yeah, Christmas, Halloween, gardening, I also work as a crew member for Tony Robbins events whenever I can. But other things catch my eye and can occupy me until I’ve learned it or get bored with it. So I have books in storage on learning disabilities, faux painting, woodworking, math, cooking, baking, art, architecture, etc. And when I get an apartment again, I need a crafts room. For scrapbooking, quilting, painting, a really cool workstation for editing photography, and a space to carve foam. Oh, I forgot, I need a place for wrapping presents with all my tags, wrappings, gift bags and such.

So if you ask me today what is my favorite bird, I’d probably say black phoebe. Tomorrow - black necked stilt. The next day - choose between American Avocet, PELICANS (I LOVE pelicans), bufflehead. Notice I like mostly water birds - I have a herniated disk in my neck and it’s hard to look up for any length of time. I like the songbirds too, but don’t get to watch them much, except when I’m feeding them.

Oh, and SQUIRRELS! I LOVE squirrels. My friend Venloe was visiting from Australia and she fell in love with them too. I had to check her pockets to make sure she didn’t take any back to Australia with her. Sally loves squirrels too, and absolutely knows what “get the squirrel” means. Not that she’s ever caught one.

Someone please explain to me how this happened?

And this? I know better than to feed the squirrels.

This is my friend Venloe. She put me up to it. And her being a forest ranger in Australia, SHE should know better too.
See why I’m like the dog’s diary?
